Note is made of the great estates. Hall Barn known as Halborne. The market charter is noted every Tuesday but it was closed in 19th century and 1982. It took place at the four ends. The Old Rectory includes a small part of the original nunnery. 1831-1871 population fell in this period of financial depression. 1837-1847 the coach trade reduced note is made of a decline in the area. The Wilton Park and Gregories Estate areas formed the basis of the New Town.
