Michelangelo's David Article about Nick Park
Nick Park was a student at the National Film and Television studios in 1982 and he created from plasticine Wallace an absent minded inventor and a wensleydale cheese enthusiast voice over by Peter Sallis on Nick Parks stop-motion films. The first film A Grand Day out was for Nick Parks graduation and paid back Harbutt company, Bath who had provided plasticine free for his creations. Grommit was made from stone coloured plasticine and was a mouthless, naked figure. Nick Park is shy and modest. He lost his full Wallace and Grommit archives in a fire in Bristol. He has 4 Oscars and a CBE. His creativity started before age 13yrs and he won a Gold Blue Peter badge.
