Article details the finding in 1818 of bones from officers and men from 1642 The Battle of Aylesbury. 247 sets of bones were found near Holman’s Bridge buried in a common grave. More detail is provided about the battle with Prince Ruperts 6000 troops. However there is also detail of another battle a year later 1943 Colonel Middleton against Prince Rupert where there were soldiers killed which may also account for the bones?
