The white crosses of Bucks
Article details white crosses on hillsides in Buckinghamshire at Whiteleaf and Bledlow. White horses are known in southern counties esp Wiltshire. Their creation is unknown different suggestions are suggested. It is suggested that anglo-saxons created them but this is unsubstantiated. Over time the size and structure of the crosses has been changed. Three black and white pictures are included.
