The halfpenny token issued in 1668 by Henry Tripp of Beaconsfield, an ancestor of Mr K M Tripp, the owner of the Removals firm in Aylesbury End. The coin, actually 15mm in diameter, shows wax candles hanging down whilst cooling. During the later part of the seventeenth century, tokens were used as a local currency.
