Winter talks 2022/2023

Welcome to our new programme of talks.  All talks are held at the Fitzwilliams Centre, Beaconsfield on Saturday afternoons at 2.15 p.m. for a 2.30 p.m. start.  The exception is the AGM, which precedes the last talk,  and begins at 2.00 p.m for a 2.15 p.m start.

 

Members free, £3 charge for visitors.  Pay at the door.

15th October 2022  – “Benjamin Disraeli Part 2”  – A talk by Jeff Roselar

5th November 2022 –  “Secrets of London”   – A talk by Mike Beech

26th November 2022 – “Ukraine – Mid Ages to 2021”  – A talk by Bernard Foot

Wednesday 7th December – Christmas outing – Waddesdon Christmas Market.  Further details and booking form at bottom of page. 

17th December 2022 – “History of Pantomime” – A talk by Catherine Campbell

 

2023

28th January 2023 – “Secret WW2 Conversations”  – A talk by Helen Fry

18th February 2023 – “Recording Britain – Artists on the Home Front”  – A talk by Graham Twemlow

11th March 2023 – “Vienna Secession and Art Nouveau”  – A talk by Rena Hume

 

1st April 2023 – AGM  starting at 2.15, followed by – “Three Tudor Queens” – A talk by Nicholas Hendersen
