Typed notes The District Nurses/Midwives Beaconsfield in 1963
Notes typed and sent with various record books about nursing in Beaconsfield. Ivy Snell and Madge Towers carried out community antenatal check ups in 1963 from a base at 81 Candelmas Mead kindly given for the clinic by a Mrs Pepyeta. Ivy worked for Dr Philip Green in Penington Road, Dr Hugh Smith in London End and Dr Solomon in Seeleys Road. All from their own homes. Madge worked for Dr Eileen and Dr Michael Watkins, Dr John Carey and their surgery was in Millbarn Centre, Wycombe End. Then the Simpson Centre was built in Gregories Road. The note has personal recollections of Ivys work with the Bowerman’s family
