Article by Donald Stanley regarding the Charsley family, lawyers, who lived in a large part of the former Crown Inn. The Charsley family first arrived in Beaconsfield from Amersham in 1760. The firm eventually became Bailey Gibson.
Includes two colour photographs, one of their first house The Elms and also the former Crown Inn.
