Those who mad the ultimate sacrifice.
The cutting is from the Nostalgia series of the Bucks Free Press. it includes coverage of Peter (Bertie) Tripp who fought in France in 1914 before being wounded and returned to England. In 1916 he returned to France as part of the Labour Corps where he supported the war effort behind the front line, before returning to England in 1918. Later that year he died from pneumonia. There is a black and white photograph showing the original position of the War Memorial in Beaconsfield Old Town.
