Copy of Mrs Timms' memoires of Old Beaconsfield mid 19th Century through to 1929.
Appears to be a copy of a transcript of Mrs Timms memoires (using her own words) of growing up living in Old Beaconsfield. This was written at the age of 78. She had lived in Aylesbury End for almost her entire life. Reference is made to the local gentry including the Du Pre and Grenfell families and how they looked after those who worked for them. Other references include a short stop by Queen Victoria and Edward Price of Wales visit to the Burnham Estate for hunting, Queen Victoria’s Jubilee. Original document sent to G K Chesterton and his wife.
