A book of Parish magazines from 1939 January - December followed by a general national information section

A collection of Parish Magazines from 1939 containing the usual mix of church and community news, articles of interest ,stories from around the world, train timetables, handy hints and a serialized story. Of note is a notification in a concise form, in October, of Emergency Organisations just being set up in preparation for war, with names and contact numbers supplied. Mention is noted of a Czech refugee centre in Pennfields, on the Penn Road.
