G K Chesterton
A reprint of an article about G K Chesterton. The gentle child who championed the little man….. 4 pages with poor quality photographs and detailing his life. Born in 1874 in Kensington. He couldn’t read until the age of 9 years. He was backward in St Pauls school. Investigations revealed he was very short sighted. Once his sight had been corrected he read avidly and voraciously. Brain scans revealled a large normal brain. He was always big weighing over 20 stone for most of his life and he had a squeaky voice. He moved to Beaconsfield in 1909 and had many associations with important people of the time such as George Bernard Shaw, H G Wells. A list of his works is included detailing works such as the Father Brown series. He published works from 1900-1936
