Horsenden and the Civil War
Horsenden was on the London to Oxford road, near Princes Risborough. The Manor House in Horsenden was a royalist house surrounded by a moat. Detail is given about the Grubb and later Denham family who lived there. Both created various stories one of murder another of the Green Lady ghost but mainly reference is made to battles in the vicinity.
