Isaac D’Israeli was Benjamin Disraelis’ father. He imported Italian products. He prospered in trade and was a stockbroker. He was born in 1766 in London and died in 1816. He had a very privileged background. He read from a very early age and was renowned for his learning and prodigious literary output. He had a library of over 25000 books. He was a Portugese Jew in London Society. His wealth was from his grandmother. He baptised his children after leaving the faith and the synagogue.
